SOCOM Training Session
With riders planning to head over to the UK we held a Media Training workshop with David Hawkins from SOCOM.
This provided us all with a fantastic learning opportunity as well as heaps of laughs as David grilled each rider with media type questions whilst filming them. We then played back the tape and assessed the responses. The second round of interviews were a little more challenging for the rider as they had to learn to be diplomatic and focused on their replies and not get swayed into controversial discussions or giving inappropriate answers. This workshop was enormously beneficial and the input from SOCOM was greatly appreciated.
Goal Setting and Strategic Planning
A goal setting and strategic planning session was held by Vanessa Hawkins & Lauraine Sayers. We encouraged riders to set realistic goals to achieve their ultimate one of competing at International level. The riders then had to list five strategies that they would need to do in order to achieve each goal.
